Why did my price increase?
Many people ask us this question in various ways but basically it boils down to the same problem. Waste disposal contracts are NOT fixed price agreements. This means that your waste hauler can raise your rate pretty much at any time, leading to a price increase. (Here is a great example!) Check your contract for specific details but generally you’ll find that when you signed your contract with one of the big names in the business, the price you thought you were going to pay is not what’s actually billed. Also, if you are following the rate of inflation, you’ll notice this is a big reason why your price is increasing. Bottom line…make sure you negotiate an annual cap on the increases allowed in your contract.
